"Hi, I hope I selected the right person I believe his name is David did not catch the last name however he was the one undergoing the S2 exam with Simon today 10/22 at CYEG. My plan was to do a flight from CYYC to CYEG then back to CYYC to help David out and show some support! During my decent Simon the person who was conducting the examination contacted me and as I told him he had me worried for a second as I saw TWR was pining me, and I was thinking I'm not that close yet! Simon had a request for me he wanted to see if I was willing to fly a missed approach as David still needed a missed approach. I was more than happy to be the missed approach and to test David's skills as well as mine at the same time. I flew the approach got my landing clearance and on short final right after David cleared an aircraft for takeoff, I hit him with the go around call out. David then gave clear and direct instructions fly runway heading flight level 5000 did exactly what he needed to do and did it well! Unfortunately, however my landing was not to be as well flight sim decided to crash during my vectors for final to butter the bread on runway 30! That being said it was worth the go around and crash to help David out. It was tons of fun and glad I got to take part in the exam. I'm sure he will be a great controller and looking forward to seeing him in the future! DAL-3024"
"10/10 incredible"
"Jeff Meier is the most reliable controller in all of Canada. He's on every morning and every night. Hasn't missed a day. He's also accommodating. If you make a mistake, he'll help you fix it. It's the best controller I've seen. The airport he controllers is never too busy, so it's perfect for VFR circuits. As my schedule changes, I'll be unable to fly there as often, but it doesn't mean I don't want to. Great guy."
"Great controlling by 1458012 as CYYC_W_APP during the rocky mountain FNO event on 2024-08-17, I was flying FDX9140 arriving from the northwest from PANC to CYYC around 01:00 Z. After initial contact CYYC_W_APP noticed I was non rnav star capable, so I was quickly given vectors for the ILS 35L approach. It was IFR weather that evening with broken clouds around 8000 ft. As there was another departing flight passing below my flight, CYYC_W_APP made sure to give both our flights traffic callouts, giving us extra situational awareness while we were both in the clouds. As I was vectored into and cleared to descend downwind 35L, I messed up, didn't pay attention to level off correctly onto my assigned altitude, and left my aircraft descending towards the ground. CYYC_W_APP was very quick to catch my low altitude alert and immediately give me a climb back to my assigned altitude, saving me from hitting the ground. I was then smoothly turned to capture the ILS approach course, sequenced in between multiple arrivals, and handed over to tower. Thanks to CYYC_W_APP's controlling (despite my pilot deviation), my arrival into CYYC was very smooth and easy to fly, with no delay vectors, holds, or assigned speeds. They always remained on top of every flight, and went the extra mile giving us all extra situational awareness or additional support when necessary. I'm also thankful for the other edmonton and vancouver staff and pilots for the wonderful event focused on the beautiful rocky mountain scenery. They were all great as well, patiently working through the high volume of flights between the event airports."
"I decided to fly out of an airport that didn't have much traffic, only to be surprised by the extreme professionalism by this controller. When lined up, I had to wait a few minutes for enroute separation and he kept apologizing and thanking me for my patience. Brendan has showed a huge passion and enthusiasm to control in CZEG FIR. I will definitely come back someday. Kudos!"
"Fantastic controller... clear voice and clear instruction... Keep going"
"Just flew VFR, controller was VERY knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great time flying out in the western coast of Canada and I can't wait to fly again."
"Thanks for the ATC tonight, was great to be back in the virtual skies after eons!"
"Fantastic controller, gave us our options for approaches and was always on top of everything! Timberline 57, 403, and 403M thank you!"
"Thanks for the awesome controlling during our little group flight. So much fun!!!"
"Good day, I flew VFR circuits in an F35-B on 20 May 2024 while Brendan McGreal was controlling CYMM_TWR. I experienced professional ATC service from Mr McGreal who, through his expertise, managed three aircraft in the pattern simultaneously. He provided exceptional service by spacing out an F35, DA40, and a C170 without causing confusion nor delay. Further, he was able to expertly handle a VTOL landing which I requested, failing to realise I was landing in a parking lot. He provided helpful pointouts for traffic on the ground so that I would land at the apron without causing any accidents. He has shown this through various occasions when I flew (F22, F18, CP140 Aurora, etc) and has always been seen as an exceptional controller from the pilots' perspective. Best, James Lu"
"Very good service provided, communication was clear and helpful. Was a pleasure to have as a controller"
"Well done!"
"Great service out of Fort mac this afternoon, knowledgeable and clear. well done, sir."
"Good day, I wanted to take a brief moment to provide feedback on David James, who was occupying Yellowknife Tower on the evening of 13 Feb 2024. This was my first time flying after months of controlling and I had inadvertently faced many technical issues. David was burdened with managing IFR traffic as well as one other VFR in the pattern, while simultaneously ensuring that my lack of understanding of flying did not interfere with normal airport operations. Needless to say, David demonstrated excellence and quick-thinking skills, flawlessly handling both VFR and IFR traffic with immaculate phraseology. Realizing that I was in the pattern at only 90 knots, he instructed the other VFR aircraft to join the opposite hand pattern to preemptively address the possibility of traffic conflicts. David demonstrated exceptional skills as a Tower controller and should be commended for his excellence. Best, James Lu CG-YHZ"

"Dear Sir or Madam, I hope you are well. I would very much like to speak positively about your controller Thomas (The pilot who managed Edmonton Centre on Cross the Pond day). He sounds very professional and was able to quickly resolve my issues. In addition, he always remains very calm and is always friendly and I think it is very good that there are such nice and helpful controllers like him. With kind regards Daniel / AWE717"

"Thanks for this guy for controlling me as pilot who flew for the first time with not EASA procedures. Controller spoke with speed what's good for pilots (also if someone is new). Many thanks from ACA6NG (17.12.22, 18.00z at CYXY)."
"Thanks for this guy for control. That was my first flight with not EASA procedures. Controller was responsive at my request, didn't yell on me and helped if I requested some things to text me. Many thanks from ACA6NG (26.12.22, 17:30z)"
"Excellent Service, thank you and Happy holidays."
"Great controlling, friendly and diligent."
"Amazing control over the airspace at all times, and was very easy to talk to and communicate with!"
"Simon did a very great job on tower, there were 2 VFR aircrafts and in the meantime I was there with an MD82 and there was another guy with a 747, I'm an S1 guy waiting to start his S2 training and I think have multiple VFR and IFR aircrafts is one of the most challenging scenario you can have it, very nice to see ATC even in remote airport like Yellowknife."
"Great service, I love flying in that airspace."
